Under Bunker
When you need to buy a new sand wedge, one thing that will need to know is that there are many different types of wedges you can get. If you have trouble lifting your ball out of the sand trap, the lower the degrees of the wedge, the better. But for people who high fly the ball out of the sand trap, the higher the degrees of the wedge, the better. It really depends on how you play. Just remember, the lower the degrees, the higher you will hit the ball, the higher the degrees, the lower you will hit the ball.

Under Professional Golf
The PGA is going to begin cracking down on players who are using drugs. They are going to be doing random tests at random times beginning in July. Penalties for first time violators include up to a one year suspension and fine. For second time violators, they may receive up to a five year suspension and a little bigger fine. And for third time violators, they can receive up to a lifetime suspension and large fine. It will be interesting to see who will come out clean, and who will test positive…

Under Posture and Grip
There will come a time when you need to replace your golf clubs grips. I personally do this once a year. And instead of paying a golf shop a lot of money to replace my clubs grip for me, I choose to do it manually. Follow these simple steps and you will replace your grips in no time.
1. Remove the grip from your club. I suggest using scissors just to get it started for you, or possibly a knife. Make sure all the tape and any residue is cleared off the club.
2. Get some strong, double-sided tape and wrap it around your club from the top of your club, to where the new grip will end.
3. Put a small piece of duck tape, and place it over the small little whole on the top of the grip, not the open side.
4. Pour some solvent into the open side of your new grip. Make sure the solvent gets all around the inside of the grip.
5. Add some more solvent to the club on top of the double-sided tape. Try to make sure almost every spot is covered.
6. Remove the duck tape from the top of the grip, and slide the grip onto your club. It will take around 8 hours to dry, so be patient.
Hope this helps you for the next time your clubs grips need replacing.

Under Golf Jokes
This could be one of the funniest golf locker room jokes I have heard in my life. Check it out!
A few man were in the locker room when suddenly, a cell phone rings. A man picks it up.
“Hey Sweatheart, how was your golf game?”
“Great Honey!”
“Well listen, I just saw this beautiful pearl necklace at this jewelery store, and I totally want to buy it. It is only $3,500.
“I guess…”
“Thanks, and also, I want to buy this mac laptop from the mac store. Only $2,700. Can I get it?
“If you want…”
“Yay! OMG, i forgot to tell you. that new construction house on Fairway that we wanted, well there was a price drop. Only $2,200,000 now! Can I place a bid?
“Ummm, if you want…”
“What should I bid?”
“A little over asking price to make sure we get the house. Around $2,300,000…”
“Okay honey! I will do that right now. Love you!!!”
“Bye.”
When the man hung up the phone, he held up the phone and yelled out, “Hey everyone, whose phone is this?”

Under Apparel
You must be dressed properly in order to go out onto a golf course. First, you need to throw on a collared shirt. No button downs because they become uncomfortable to play in, and look very odd. So just throw on a polo or a lacoste and you will be fine. Next, if it is warm outside, wear a pair of khaki shorts. But when it is chilly outside, it is totally acceptable to wear a pair of khaki pants. Then, just tuck your collared shirt into your khaki shorts/pants and throw on a belt. Also, when it is sunny outside, it is totally fine to throw on a hat (facing forward) or a pair of sunglasses. Once you get dressed in the apparel discussed above, your ready to go to the golf course!

Under Golf Jokes
Here is another funny joke…
One golfer walks into the pro shop of his country club, and checks in for his tee time.
“Why are you so late?” asked the worker behind the pro shop desk.
“Well it’s sunday, and so I had to flip a quarter to decide whether I should go to church, or play golf.” resonded the golfer.
“Sir, that only takes like 5 seconds.” said the worker.
“Well, it took about 32 flips to get it right.”

Under Tips and Tricks
It can be extremely hard to make your high school golf team. Most commonly, a high school golf team consists of about 15 kids. And when more then 15 kids try out, the high school needs to cut some from the team. And no one wants to be one of those kids to be cut. So I will share some pointers with you that may help you make your golf team.
First off, you always should play it safe. Lets say that you come up to a hole that is a dog leg right, around a big pond. You have the choice to either drive the ball into the fairway, or drive it over the pond, and onto the green. So you ask yourself, “What should I do?” The answer is you should play it safe and drive the ball into the fairway. You don’t want to take the risk of hitting your ball right into the water. If you hit the ball into the water, it would totally screw your score for that hole. Also, most coaches like to see kids playing it safe.
Also, when someone else hits there drive on a hole, coaches really like seeing other kids saying, “Nice Shot!” or “Good Ball!”. Even if it wasn’t the best shot in the world, when a coach is around, you should make those types of comments.
Everybody hits a bad shot while their on the coarse every once in a while. You need to practice keeping a good attitude after a bad shot. Coaches hate kids who will put there head down after grounding the ball or something like that. At the same token, after you hit an amazing shot, or just made a birdie on a hole, you shouldn’t jump up and down, or exclaim, “Yes!” or something like that. Coaches like kids who just stay calm, and keep the same attitude throughout their round.
You must practice golf all of the time, so you don’t become rusty. You need to go to your tryouts totally prepared. I suggest practicing golf 2 to 5 times a week, even during winter. You must really dedicate yourself. Do whatever you need to, in order to get as much golf practice in as possible. Just remember that practice makes perfect.
Those are probably the best pointers I can give you to make your high school golf team. I wish everybody the best of luck making the team.
